১) নিজের মূল্য বুঝে বেতন হাঁকুন

ইন্টারভিউ শেষ করার পর যে জিনিসটি আসে তার জন্যই সব চাকরি প্রার্থী অপেক্ষায় থাকেন। ঠিকই ধরেছেন, আপনার পে প্যাকেজ কী হবে- তা নিয়ে কথাবার্তা হয় সংস্থার সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভাগের সাথে। বেশিরভাগ ক্ষেত্রেই এই পর্বে এক কথায় খানিকটা দড়ি টানাটানি হয়।

এই টানাটানির জেরে অনেক সময়ই প্রার্থীরা বেতন খুইয়ে বসেন। তবে বুদ্ধি করে যদি কথা বলা যায় ‘কষ্টের কেষ্ট’ মেলে। এ ক্ষেত্রে কীভাবে কথা বলা উচিত জেনে নিন এখান থেকে।

১) নিজের মূল্য বুঝে বেতন হাঁকুন
প্রথমেই আপনাকে নিজের মূল্য জানতে হবে। আপনি কতটা বেতন পাওয়ার যোগ্য তা নিরপেক্ষভাবে আগে নিজে ভাবুন। তারপর প্যাকেজের কথা বলুন। কথা বলার সময় যদি নিজের ওপর আপনারই সন্দেহ থাকে, তবে আপনি নিঃসন্দেহে হারবেন। কনফিডেন্সের সাথে কথা বলুন। নিজের মূল্য বুঝিয়ে দিন, প্যাকেজ পাবেন মনের মতো।

২) হঠকারিতা চলবে না
চাকরি পাওয়ার জন্য অনেকেই যা প্যাকেজ পাচ্ছেন তাতেই ‘হ্যাঁ’ বলে দেন। এখানেই দাঁও মারেন এইচআর-রা। আগে শুনে নিন আপনাকে কী দেয়ার কথা ভাবে হচ্ছে, তার পর আপনি কী চাইছেন সেটা বলুন। মনে রাখবেন প্রথমে যে প্যাকেজটা আপনাকে দেয়া হবে সেটা কম হিসাবেই ধরা থাকে। তাই অপেক্ষা করুন। হঠকারি হবেন না।

৩) ৩০ বাড়াতে চাইলে ৪০ বলুন
মনে রাখবেন যিনি আপনার সাথে বেতন নিয়ে কথা বলছেন, তিনি আপনার থেকে অনেক বেশি বুদ্ধি রাখেন। আপনি যা চাইছেন তারা সব সময় সেটি কমানোর চেষ্টা করবেন। তাই একটু বেশি বললে ক্ষতি নেই।

৪) অন্য সংস্থার অফার দেখান
প্রথমেই মনে রাখতে হবে, ব্লাফ সব ক্ষেত্রে খাটে না। যদি সত্যিই আপনার কাছে অন্য সংস্থার ভালো বেতনের অফার থাকে সেটা বলুন। না হলে নয়। যদি সেই সংস্থা বর্তমান সংস্থার প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বি হয়, তবে তো আরো ভালো। এটা খুব ভালো কাজ করে।

৫) ইনসেন্টিভ এবং বোনাস ধরুন
আগের সংস্থায় বেতন যা পেতেন তার সাথে অন্যান্য সুযোগ সুবিধা এবং বোনাস অবশ্যই ধরবেন। তারপর প্যাকেজের কথা বলুন।

৬) অ্যাগ্রেসিভ নয়, যুক্তি দিয়ে কথা বলুন
ঠাণ্ডা মাথা ভালো কাজ করে। বহু পুরনো কথা আরো একবার মনে করিয়ে দিচ্ছি। তাই কোনো ক্ষেত্রেই মাথা গরম করা চলবে না। আপনি যে প্যাকেজটি চাইছেন তা যে আপনি পাওয়ার যোগ্য সেটা যুক্তি দিয়ে বুঝিয়ে দিন। এটা মোক্ষম কাজ করবে।

৪। বর্তমানে ফেসবুকের সবচেয়ে জনপ্রিয় পেইজটি হলো কার্টুন সিম্পসনের পেইজ (Simpsons) । এই পেইজটিকে এখন পর্যন্ত লাইক দেয়েছে ৭ কোটি ৬৪ হাজারের বেশি ব্যক্তি। দ্বিতীয়তে আছে মাইকেল জ্যাকসনের পেইজটি। যাতে প্রায় ৭ কোটি ব্যক্তি লাইক দিয়েছে।

এই ফ্রি-অফার অবশ্য শুধুমাত্র সেই সব জিও গ্রাহকদের জন্য যাঁরা ইতিমধ্যে এই মোবাইল পরিষেবা সংস্থার গ্রাহক হিসাবে নাম লিখিয়েছেন অথবা চলতি বছরের ৩১ মার্চের মধ্যে নাম লেখাবেন।

‘জিও-প্রাইম’ নামে এই ফ্রি-অফার চলতি বছরের পয়লা এপ্রিল থেকে শুরু হবে বলে জানিয়েছেন মুকেশ অম্বানি। ১লা মার্চ থেকে ৩১ মার্চের মধ্যে জিও-প্রাইম-এর সদস্যপদ নিতে হবে গ্রাহকদের। এর জন্য ৯৯ টাকা দিতে হবে।

‘জিও-প্রাইম’-এর সদস্যপদ একবার পাওয়া হয়ে গেলে মাসে মাসে ৩০৩ টাকা জমা করতে হবে। দিন প্রতি ১০ টাকা। এর ফলে ৩১ মার্চ, ২০১৮ পর্যন্ত জিও-র ভয়েস কল থেকে শুরু করে ইন্টারনেট, মিডিয়া সার্ভিস সব আনলিমিটেডভাবে ব্যবহার করা যাবে।

In the middle of home series against England, India's Under-19 cricketers and their support staff, including coach Rahul Dravid, are yet to receive their daily allowances, reports Indian Express.
The entire team is experiencing the aftershocks of the Supreme Court's decision to reform the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The absence of an official signatory after former secretary Ajay Shirke's removal means funds cannot be released to the players. In addition, the weekly withdrawal limit due to demonetisation drive has made matters more adverse.
This led to junior cricketers not receiving their entitled allowance of Rs. 6,800 per day. The cricketers have had to pay for their dinner depending on their parents to survive this cash crisis. For a new signatory to be appointed, the BCCI members need to pass a new resolution.
"We have decided that once the series gets over, we will send DA directly to the accounts of players and support staff. Even in BCCI, there are lots of problems, as we don't have a signatory and we can't pay anyone," Express quoted BCCI official as saying.
"We are managing somehow. During match-days, one meal is organised by the host association and breakfast is complimentary at the hotel. But the biggest problem is dinner. We are put up in a posh hotel in Mumbai where a sandwich costs over Rs 1,500. Players have no option but to step out for a meal after a tiring day on the field," a member of India's U-19 team stated while talking to Express.
While the senior team, which is in Hyderabad for the one-off Test against Bangladesh, has faced no such problems since the Committee of Administrators has directed BCCI CEO Rahul Johri take care of all the daily expenses of the players.

Dr Richard Beale, the consultant intensivist from the London Bridge Hospital, who had attended to the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, addressed a press meet in Chennai on Monday, organised by the Tamil Nadu government, along with other medicos.
After her death, Jayalalithaa's body was kept for public viewing at the Rajaji Hall in Chennai. The photographs from the funeral fuelled rumours about what had happened to her during the course of her long hospitalisation. One of the questions raised persistently was about the four dots which could be seen on her cheek. Social media was rife with rumours about her legs being amputated, too.

Asked about the dots on her cheek and alleged amputation, Dr Richard Beale said, "There was no amputation, no transplant at all. Marks on cheek – critically ill patients can have some marks in cheeks."
Dr Sudha Seshaiyyan, Director of Anatomy, Madras Medical College, who did the embalming for Jayalalithaa said,
“We did normal embalming procedure. Before embalming, I did check, there were no leaks. Her lips were swollen as she had been on ventilator. There were three or four ecchymotic dots, but they were not so deep. The whole embalming process took 15 minutes. When we pumped embalming fluids, there were hardly any leaks. Only some mucus discharge from the nose.”
Ecchymotic spots are caused by the escape of blood into the tissues from ruptured blood vessels.
Dr Sudha added: "When embalming was done, I don't remember seeing three (sic) dots. I have not seen what came on social media. Was there during the embalming process."
Dr Sudha explained why the embalming had to be done:
“The procedure took place at midnight for 15 minutes. Usually, when there is a VIP death, the public will come to pay respects. There are chances of the body decaying, so we do embalming. The body can emanate a foul smell or people may pass on something to her. When embalming was done, there were only ecchymotic spots.”
Recounting the events of the night that Jayalalithaa died, Dr Sudha said, "I received a call from the Health Secretary that she was no more and I had to do embalming. I told my team to move and I reached later." Dr Sudha added that it was a team from Madras Medical College, which had done the embalming for former CM MGR, too: "When public personalities die, embalming is normally done. It was even done on MG Ramachandran."
On 5 December 2016, when it was declared that Jayalalithaa had passed away, many said that it was only the official announcement that was being made and that she had been dead for a long time. The photographs from the funeral were taken as "confirmation" for the conspiracy theories.
The press releases coming from Apollo Hospitals, which revealed little to nothing for the longest time, had the entire state waiting with bated breath to know what the real story was. The hospital had turned into a fortress and the media had very little access to what was going on, leading to wild rumours spreading across the state.

South Africa's 'pink' one-day international against Sri Lanka encountered an unexpected hazard when a swarm of bees interrupted play for almost half an hour at the Wanderers.
The hosts, who took the field wearing the pink strip used annually in aid of charitable causes, were held up three times in all when the bees flew into Johannesburg.
Players on both teams fell to the floor in evasive action during Sri Lanka's innings - but when the swarm moved in for a third time and showed no sign of a quick exit, officials decided it was time to call for the experts.
