Parul Gulati, best known for her role in Romeo Ranjha, was only 17 when she began to foray into films. Her career, however, started on an unexpected note when she was uploading photos on her Facebook account. A modeling agency came across her lovely pics and contacted her to do an ad. Parul, who works mainly in Punjabi films, confessed that she had never considered a career in acting until the modeling agency approached her. Rather, the Burraahh actress was more focused on her 12th grade studies, according to a report in Jansatta
While the actress was working for advertisements and balancing her studies on the side, she was approached by a director who asked why she didn’t go into films. He added that Parul would be a hit on the big screen and going by her fledgling career, he was right. Parul’s debut in Burraahh turned out be a hit in Punjab, after which Parul threw herself into acting by enrolling in the Royal Academy of London’s acting class.

Even though Parul had never done films before, she credits her stellar work in her debut to her involvement with the theatre. Parul had done quite a few plays before Burraahh and says she had been able to learn a lot from the experience. Her love for theatre continues even today and she’s quite adept at balancing working in the theatre and on the silver screen.

Since I wrote about Free Mobile Phone Tracking, I have been getting queries from a lot of users on “how to track a mobile phone by just having it’s number?” This can be either malicious or well intentioned. But before we go into the details about all those websites which claim to track cell phones by just inputing a number, I would like to discuss few things.

Ethics of Cell phone tracking
Tracking someone else’s phone constitutes a major invasion of privacy, no doubts about it. This is irrespective of your intention being good or bad. Think again if this is the only way out for you, before proceeding further.

Idea behind Tracking Cell Phones

Most cell phone tracking methods work on the premise that the cell phone often “pings” the nearest cell operator’s towers.
GPS-enabled cell phones don’t require cell towers, and may be located anywhere in the world by satellite triangulation in a similar manner. In some countries like US, cell companies are mandated to keep track of cell phones to an accuracy of 100 feet, so that help can be made available in case of emergency.

So far, so good. But is there a way to actually track or locate a mobile phone? Let us check the possible solutions-

Tracking Websites
So, what about all those free and paid websites claiming to track down any mobile phone on click of a button? The one’s where you just need to put in the cell phone number in order to track it? Can they really track a phone?

In simple words, the answer is a big NO. I am yet to come across a website which actually works as claimed. Sites like “Reverse Phone Detective” or “Track the number” never seem to provide accurate location information.

Google the Phone number
If you’re trying to figure out the general location of the owner of the number, as opposed to real time tracking, a good old fashioned Google search will probably do the trick. The person might have been un-paranoid (or unaware) enough to have it publicly posted on a social networking site, along with other potentially location-identifying information. Again, this is a small chance, and it won’t work in real time.

Cell Phone Hacks
Theoretically and logically speaking tracking a cell phone is quite possible. Experienced hackers won’t have any problems with any of this. It is perfectly possible to track a cell phone’s location – after all, the cell operators do it – even if you just know the number and have had no physical access to it, without the user having any indication of this happening. While this hasn’t reached epidemic levels, the possibility is there.

Cell Phone Tracking Software
The only guaranteed way to really track a cell phone is through some sort of installed software on the device itself. There are lots of free and paid solutions for smartphone like Apple iPhones (iPhone Tracking solutions) and Blackberries, and even for general phones like Nokia S60 based phones.

However, this generally requires physical access to the phone, and consent of the user, both of which might be difficult to get, and probably defeats the point of what you’re trying to do here.

So tracking a cell phone by just having its number is not practical, unless you are/hire an experienced hacker, which isn’t a good idea .

Finally, the much hyped and much awaited movie ‘Raees’, will be opened for public viewing tomorrow. The movie has been in news for its royal at the box-office with Hrithik-starrer ‘Kaabil’. Even though both the films belong to different genres, the controversy doesn’t seem to end.

The story of Raees, which is set against the backdrop of Gujarat of the 80’s and 90’s, is about a bootlegger named Raees Khan (efficiently essayed by Shah Rukh), who, after starting with small jobs for a smuggler, aims big and achieves his dreams. While, on one hand there is love and romance in Raees’s life, thanks to his girlfriend Asiya (Mahira Khan), there are also some hurdles waiting to be crossed in form of the don’s competitors and the main spoke in the wheel, ACP Jaideep Ambalal Majumdar (Nawzuddin Siddiqui, once again in top form), who wants to destroy the empire of Raees Khan’s illegal liquor business. The confrontation between the law maker and the law breaker is what forms the crux of the balance plot.

Performance....

Shah Rukh, sans his usual love boy mannerisms, is a treat to watch. In spite of his advancing age, he looks convincing enough in his action sequences. Nawzuddin, who is maturing like an old wine with each movie of his, has done a commendable job as the no-nonsense cop. Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has justified her character as Asiya, love interest of Shah Rukh Khan. The supporting star-cast like Atul Kulkarni, Sheeba Chadha and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub have managed to make an impact in their brief roles.

Direction and music...

Director Rahul Dholakia, known for his hard hitting films like ‘Parzania’ and ‘Lamha’, has attempted a commercial subject this time and has succeeded in making a typical commercial potboiler. The music by Ram Sampath, as expected from an action based movie, is nothing great except for a song or two which are hummable. Public is looking forward to the hot and sexy item number by Sunny Leone and it might add to the positives of the movie.



Techniques....

Production elements are superb, be it background score or be it action scenes. Choreography and punch dialogues are like cherry on the cake. These attractions on the technical front give one more reason to get an edge over Kaabil.

Verdict...

‘Raees’, may prove to be the film for Shah Rukh, who has been eluded by success since his last three releases namely ‘Fan’, ‘Dilwale’ and ‘Dear Zindagi’. 4 stars is what the movie should be getting considering all these aspects. There is no single reason why you must miss out on this movie. The cat-mouse fight is highlighting and great performances by Mahira and Zeeshan have left a wonderful impression. SRK will do the best this time, something which the fans have been waiting since a long time.

RVCJ gave 4.5 stars to Kaabil and 4 stars to Raees; this means Hrithik is already leading the race, but this doesn’t mean that the SRK starrer is bad. It is equally good; there’s just some difference in the acting and the curiosity factor.

How to use BHIM apps....narendra modi

At a programme in New Delhi on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the mobile payment app BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money). Developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), BHIM is an aggregator for all UPI-based services offered by banks.

UPI, or Unified Payment Interface, is a payment system that allows money transfer between any two bank accounts by using a smartphone. UPI allows a customer to pay directly from a bank account to different merchants, both online and offline, without the hassle of typing credit card details, IFSC code, or net banking/wallet passwords.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use the app:

1. Android users can download the application from Play Store by searching for ‘BHIM’. The app is not available for iOS users yet.

2. Install the application and choose your language. The app will prompt you to verify your phone number using an SMS. Click on Next and wait for the verification process to be completed.

3. Once the verification is complete, input a four digit passcode.

4. After a passocode is set, the app will ask you to select your bank. Once the bank is selected, the app automatically picks up your details using your phone number. Select the primary bank account that will be used for all your transactions.

5. The app displays three options — send, request and scan/pay. Transactions are possible only between verified phone numbers.

6. To send money to someone, type in their phone number and the amount to be transferred. The app will prompt you to input your MPIN, usually a four or a six digit code that authenticates a mobile transaction.

7. Likewise, you can request money from someone, using their phone number.

8. The third option, scan & pay, allows users to transfer money using a QR code, a two dimensional black and white barcode which can be decoded by a smartphone or a tablet. Each phone number is assigned a QR code which can be accessed under profile on the home screen.

ফোন স্মার্ট হলেই তো হল না। প্রযুক্তি প্রতিনিয়ত উন্নত হচ্ছে। মুহূর্তে পুরনো হয়ে যাচ্ছে আপনার স্মার্টফোন। স্মার্টফোনের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ফিচার হল RAM। স্মার্টফোনে RAM কম হওয়া মানে হাইডেফিনেশন কোনও গেম বা অ্যাপ ইনস্টল করা কঠিন। করলেও চালাতে গেলেই ফোন হ্যাং হয়ে যায়। এরকম হলেই নতুন স্মার্টফোন কেনার দরকার নেই। RAM বাড়ানো যায় সহজেই। কী ভাবে? RAM বাড়ানোরও বেশ কিছু অ্যাপ আছে। তবে আপনার ডিভাইসটি রুটেড হতে হবে। প্রয়োজন, একটি ক্লাস ৮ বা ১০ মাইক্রো এসডি কার্ড।

অ্যাপ লাগবে, Busy Box installer App, RAM Expander। এই RAM Expander বা simple root swap– দু’টি অ্যাপ ব্যবহার করেই RAM বাড়ানো যায়। কী ভাবে RAM Expander দিয়ে RAM বাড়াবেন? প্রথমে অ্যাপটি চালু করুন। এক্ষেত্রে মেমরি কার্ডে নির্দিষ্ট অংশ RAM হিসেবে ব্যবহার করার জন্য SWAP করে নিতে হবে। এর জন্য RAM Expander-এ Swap ফাইলের ইন্ডিকেটরকে ডান বা বামে সরিয়ে কাঙ্খিত SWAP ফাইলের সাইজ করে নিতে হবে। এখানে যা সাইজ দেবেন, তাই কিন্তু আপনার বাড়তি RAM।

যেমন, আপনার ফোনের RAM যদি ৫১২Mb হয়, তাহলে ৫১২Mb থেকে ১GB পর্যন্ত RAM বাড়ানো যাবে। মেমরি কার্ড যদি ৪ জিবি-র হয়, তাহলে সর্বোচ্চ ৫১২Mb বাড়াতে পারবেন। সিলেক্ট করে Swap active এনাবেল করুন। Swappiness লেখাটির উপর টাচ করলে একটি বক্স আসবে। তাতে ০ থেকে ১০০-র মধ্যে যে কোনও সংখ্যা লিখতে পারেন। এক্ষেত্রের সংখ্যা যত বাড়াবেন, মেমরি কার্ডের RAM তত বেশি ব্যবহার হবে। ৫০ দেওয়াই ভালো। বেশি দিলে কার্ড ক্র্যাশ করার ভয় থাকে।

এরপর MinfreeKB-S ক্লিক করে ১ থেকে ১০০ যা ইচ্ছে সংখ্যা দিন। সব শেষে Notify icon, Autorun-সব সব ঘরে টিক দিয়ে দিন। Swap Active লেখায় টিক দিলে Swap File Creat করা শুরু হবে। অপেক্ষা করুন। Creat হয়ে গেলেই কাজ শেষ।

গুগলের গুদামে রয়েছে পৃথিবীময় কথোপকথনের বিশাল ঝাঁপি। গোড়া থেকেই অ্যান্ড্রয়েড ফোনের কথোপকথন গ্রাহকের অজ্ঞাতসারে রেকর্ড করছে গুগল। আসলে ভয়েস সার্চ প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহারের উদ্দেশ্যেই গ্রাহকের কণ্ঠস্বর রেকর্ড করা হয়। সংরক্ষিত কণ্ঠস্বরের সঙ্গে গ্রাহকের বর্তমান কণ্ঠস্বর মিলিয়ে সার্চ করে গুগল।

স্মার্টফোন ব্যাটারি সম্পর্কে অতিকথন

রিচার্জেবল ব্যাটারি সম্পর্কে আমাদের চারপাশে প্রচুর পরিমাণে ভুল তথ্য রয়েছে। এ ধরনের ভুল তথ্য যেমন রয়েছে স্মার্টফোনে, তেমনি রয়েছে ট্যাবলেট, পোর্টেবল কন্সোলসহ অন্যান্য ডিভাইসের ক্ষেত্রেও। যেমন- এমন অনেক ব্যবহারকারী আছেন, যারা মনে-প্রাণে বিশ্বাস করেন চার্জিংয়ের সময় ডিভাইস ব্যবহার করা উচিত নয়। এটি একটি সম্পূর্ণ ভুল ধারণা। চার্জিংয়ের সময় যদি ডিভাইস ব্যবহার করা হয়, তাহলে ব্যাটারির ওপর কোনো প্রভাব পরে না। অর্থাৎ ব্যাটারির ক্ষতির কারণ হয়ে দাঁড়ায় না। তবে চার্জ হবে ধীরে ধীরে। কেননা, এ অবস্থায় এনার্জি তথা শক্তি ব্যবহার হতে থাকে। এছাড়া আধুনিক রিচার্জেবল ব্যাটারি সম্পর্কেও প্রচুর পরিমাণে ভুল ধারণা রয়েছে, যা ব্যবহারকারীদের কাছে পরিষ্কার করা উচিত।নিচে ব্যবহারকারীদের উদ্দেশে কিছু সাধারণ মিথ বা অতিকথন তুলে ধরা হয়েছে, যেগুলো রিচার্জেবল ব্যাটারিসংশ্লিষ্ট।

০১. সব সময় ব্যাটারিকে ফুল চার্জ করা ও চার্জ শেষ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত চার্জ না করা
এক সময় মোবাইল ডিভাইসে এমন ধরনের ব্যাটারি ব্যবহার হতো, যার স্ট্যান্ডার্ড ক্যাপাসিটি মেইনটেইন করার জন্য চার্জ সম্পূর্ণরূপে নিঃশেষিত হওয়ার পর পরিপূর্ণরূপে চার্জ করা দরকার, যা ‘মেমরি ইফেক্ট’ হিসেবে পরিচিত। ‘মেমরি ইফেক্ট’ হলো পুরোপুরি চার্জ শেষ হওয়ার আগে আবার চার্জ দেয়াকে এড়িয়ে যাওয়া।প্রযুক্তিবিশ্বে ব্যাটারির এই স্ট্যান্ডার্ড ক্যাপাসিটি মেইনটেইন করা দীর্ঘদিন ধরে সাধারণ জ্ঞান হিসেবে ছিল। তবে যাই হোক, গ্রিন ব্যাটারের মতে এ ধারণা শুধু NiMH এবং NiCব্যাটারির জন্য প্রযোজ্য।
বর্তমানে আমরা মূলত লিথিয়াম-আয়ন রিচার্জেবল ব্যাটারি ব্যবহার করে থাকি, যা চার্জ করা দরকার হয় না অথবা সম্পূর্ণ চার্জশূন্য করা দরকার হয় না। আসলে বেশিরভাগ লিথিয়াম-আয়ন ব্যাটারি তুলনামূলকভাবে ভালো পারফরম করে থাকে যদি না আপনি ব্যাটারির শক্তি পুরোপুরিঅপচয় করে ফেলেন। ব্যাটারির শক্তি পুরোপুরি নিঃশেষ করে ফেলার জন্য বা তাড়াতাড়ি চার্জ করার ফলে ব্যাটারির লাইফ স্প্যানে তথা আয়ুষ্কালে বা মোট ক্যাপাসিটির ওপর কোনো প্রভাব পড়ে না।
সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও লক্ষণীয় বিষয় হলো, আপনার ডিভাইসের ব্যাটারির আয়ুষ্কালের চার্জ সাইকেলের সংখ্যা। একটি ডিভাইসের ব্যাটারি সম্পূর্ণভাবে চার্জশূন্য হয়ে আবার পুরোপুরি রিচার্জ হওয়াকে বলে একটি চার্জ সাইকেল। লিথিয়াম-আয়ন ব্যাটারিসহ বেশিরভাগ রিচার্জেবল ব্যাটারি একটি নির্দিষ্টসংখ্যক চার্জ সাইকেলের পর কার্যকর ক্ষমতা কমতে থাকে। মেকানিক্সদের অনুমান,সাধারণত চার্জ সাইকেলের সংখ্যা হয়ে থাকে ৫০০-১৫০০-এর মধ্যে। এ কারণে সবচেয়ে ভালো অভ্যাস হলো বিপরীত কাজ করা এবং যতটুকু সম্ভব ব্যাটারিকে ফুল চার্জ রাখা। এমনকি যদি ৩০ থেকে ৫০ শতাংশ চার্জ থাকে, তাহলেও চার্জ করা উচিত।

০২. স্মার্টফোনকে সারা রাত প্লাগড ইন রাখলে অর্থাৎ দীর্ঘ চার্জ সাইকেল ব্যাটারির জন্য ক্ষতিকর
আগে এক সময় আমরা জানতাম এবং বিশ্বাস করতাম, রাতে ঘুমানোর সময় অর্থাৎ সারা রাতবা ৮ থেকে ১০ ঘণ্টা স্মার্টফোনকে প্লাগইন অবস্থায় রাখা হলে ব্যাটারির ক্ষতি হয় এবং চার্জ ধরে রাখা থেকে বিরত থাকে।
বাস্তবতা হলো ঠিক এর বিপরীত। স্মার্টফোন যথেষ্ট ইন্টেলিজেন্ট এবং বুঝতে পারে এর ক্যাপাসিটি। ফলে কখন ব্যাটারি চার্জ হওয়া শুরু হবে এবং কখনএর ব্যাটারি পুরোপুরি চার্জিত হবে। ব্যাটারি যখন পুরোপুরিচার্জিত হবে, তখন চার্জ হওয়া বন্ধ হয়ে যাবে।
আসলে ইদানীং বেশিরভাগ ফোনই খুব স্মার্ট এবং এগুলোপুরোমাত্রায় ব্যাটারির শক্তি ব্যবহার করতে থাকে যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত না এদের ব্যাটারি প্রায় ৮০ শতাংশ পর্যন্ত না চার্জিত হচ্ছে। এরপর এগুলো ‘trickle’ হবে যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত না পরিপূর্ণভাবে চার্জিত হয়।
এ বিষয়ে আমাদের চারপাশে প্রচুর পরিমাণে বিভ্রামিত্মকর তথ্য রয়েছে। এমনকি কিছু কিছু নামি-দামি টেক বস্নগেও দাবি করা হয় যে, এ ধারণা ভুল এবং খারাপ। বাস্তবতা হলো, আপনার ডিভাইসকে দীর্ঘ সময় এমনকি সারা রাত ধরে চার্জারের সাথে কানেক্টেড রাখা ভালো। WJCT-এর তথ্য মতে, মোবাইল ডিভাইসকে এমনভাবে ডিজাইন করা হয়েছে, যাতে ব্যাটারি সম্পূর্ণরূপে চার্জ হওয়ার পর আগত পাওয়ার সীমিত হয়। এর অর্থ হচ্ছে, ডিভাইস প্লাগ অবস্থায় থাকলে পরিমাণে খুব সামান্য হলেও ব্যাটারিতে বিদ্যুৎশক্তি ট্রান্সফার হয়।
এর মানে এই নয়, আপনি ডিভাইসকে দীর্ঘ সময়ের জন্য ১২ ঘণ্টার বেশি চার্জ দিয়ে রাখবেন। এতে ব্যাটারি খুব গরম হয়ে যাবে, যা প্রকারান্তে ব্যাটারির আয়ুষ্কালের ওপর প্রভাব ফেলে। আরেকটি বিষয়, আমাদের মনে রাখা দরকার ব্যাটারিকে ম্যাট্রেসের ওপর রেখে অথবা বালিশের নিচে রেখে চার্জ দেয়া উচিত নয়। যাই হোক, অনেক ডিভাইসই চার্জিংয়ের সময় গরম হয়। আপনার ডিভাইসের তাপ নিষ্কাশনের ব্যবস্থাযদি যথাযথ না হয়, তাহলে অতিরিক্ত গরমের কারণে ডিভাইসের কম্পোনেন্ট ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হতে পারে।

ফোনের আলো নিয়ন্ত্রন করুন

আমাদের অনেকের স্মার্টফোনের ডিসপ্লেতে আমরা সারাদিন একই ধরণের ব্রাইটনেস দিয়ে থাকি। যেখানে পর্যাপ্ত আলো রয়েছে সেখানে কম ব্রাইটনেসেও কাজ করা যায়। তাই সেখানে ব্রাইটনেস কম রাখাই উত্তম। আবার সূর্যের আলোতে কম ব্রাইটনেসে ডিসপ্লে দেখা যায় না। সেক্ষেত্রে ব্রাইটনেস বাড়িয়ে নিলে দেখতে সুবিধা হয়। আবার ঘরের ভেতর চলে আসলে ব্রাইটনেস কমিয়ে নিলে ফোনের ডিসপ্লে এবং ব্যাটারি দুটোই ভালো থাকবে। বেশিরভাগ ক্ষেত্রে ৩০ থেকে ৪০ শতাংশতে মোবাইল ব্রাইটনেস রাখা ভালো।

অ্যামোলিড স্ক্রিনে নজর রাখুন হোয়াইটনেসে

স্মার্টফোনের জনপ্রিয় ডিসপ্লের মধ্যে অ্যামোলিড স্ক্রিন বেশ এগিয়ে আছে। তবে অ্যামোলিড ডিসপ্লে যেহেতু একটি উজ্জ্বল ডিসপ্লে তাই মোবাইলের ওয়ালপেপার পছন্দের ক্ষেত্রে সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করা উচিত। কালো রঙের ওয়ালপেপার ব্যবহার করা উত্তম। এতে ব্যাটারি ব্যবহার কম হবে।

বন্ধ করুন অ্যাপস শর্টকাট

গুগল প্লে স্টোর থেকে নতুন অ্যাপ ডাউনলোড করার সময় শর্টকাট আইকন তৈরি হয় হোমস্ক্রিনে। গুগল প্লে অ্যাপের মেনু থেকে সেটিংসে গিয়ে শর্টকাট বন্ধ করে দিতে পারেন।

প্রয়োজনে ‘সাইলেন্ট মুড’ ব্যবহার করুন

ঘুম বা আরামের সময় ফোনকল, মেসেজ বা অ্যালার্ট সিস্টেম সাইলেন্ট করে রাখুন। অ্যান্ড্রয়েড ফোনে ‘ডু নট ডিস্টার্ব’ মোড নামের একটি মোড আছে, যা সেট করে রাখলে বিরক্তি আসবে না। সেটিংসে গিয়ে সাউন্ডস সেটিংসে এ ফিচার চালু করতে পারেন অথবা সাইলেন্ট মুড ও ব্যবহার করতে পারেন ভলিউম কি ব্যবহার করে।

ফোনে ব্যবহার করুন স্ক্রিন লক

স্মার্টফোনে টাচ স্ক্রিন ডিসপ্লে থাকায় পকেটে থাকলেও অনেক সময় কল চলে যেতে পারে। বার বার পাওয়ার অন অফ বাটন চেপে ফোন লক করলেও ঐ বাটনের জন্য ক্ষতি। তাই স্ক্রিন লক অপশন ব্যবহার করতে পারেন। ফোনে না থাকলেও গুগল প্লে সেন্টারে এ ধরণের অ্যাপস রয়েছে অনেকগুলো। ডাউনলোড করে ব্যবহার করা শুরু করে দিন।

এন্ড্রয়েড ট্যাবলেট অথবা বড় মাপের ডিসপ্লে সহ ফোন গুলোর হোম স্ক্রিন সহ সব মেনু সেকশনেই ফোন কাত করলে ঘুরে যায়। টিল্ট হওয়া বলি যাকে। কিন্তু সচরাচর ছোট মাপের ডিসপ্লে সম্বলিত ফোন গুলোতে এই ফিচার এতদিন ছিল না। সম্প্রতি গুগোল নাও লঞ্চারে এই সুবিধা দিয়েছে গুগোল। কিন্তু যদি আগে থেকেই এটি ইন্সটল করা থাকে আর জানা না থাকে তাহলে আপনাকে ম্যানুয়ালি সেটিংস থেকে আপনাকে অন করে নিতে হবে এটি। বাই ডিফল্ট এই অপশনটি ডিজেবল করা থাকে।

গুগোল নাও লঞ্চার ললিপপ অপারেটিং সিস্টেম ও তার ওপরের অপারেটিং সিস্টেমে ভাল কাজ করে। যদি আপনি গুগোল নাও ইন্সটল করে থাকেন কিন্তু এই অপশনটি খুজে না পেয়ে থাকেন তাহলে আপডেট করে নিলেই পেয়ে যাবেন। নিচের ধাপ গুলো সম্পন্ন করলেই আপনার স্ক্রিনটি আমার স্ক্রিন এর মত করতে পারবেন।

হোম স্ক্রিনে গিয়ে ফাকা জায়গায় ট্যাপ করে ধরে রাখুন। নিচের মত অপশন থেকে সেটিংসে ট্যাপ করুন।

সেটিংস মেনুর একদম নিচে গিয়ে শেষের অপশনটি একটিভ করে দিন।
এবার আপনার হোম স্ক্রিনে গিয়ে ফোনটিকে কাত করুন। ওপরে দেয়া আমার ডিসপ্লের মত সব আইকন ঘুরে যাবে। আশা করি মজা পাবেন এই নতুন ফিচার ইউজ করে। নতুন কিছু ব্যবহার করার মজাই আলাদা।

তথ্যপ্রযুক্তির এই আধুনিক যুগে ইংরেজির প্রয়োজনটা দিন দিন বেড়েই চলছে। আজকাল স্মার্টফোন আর ফেসবুক চালাতে গেলেও কিছুটা ইংরেজী জানার দরকার হয়। শিক্ষা জীবনে কিংবা ভাল চাকরীর জন্যতো এর কোন বিকল্প নেই। সেই নার্সারি, ক্লাসওয়ানে ইংরেজিতে A for Apple, B for Ball শেখা থেকে শুরু করে শিক্ষাজীবন শেষ পর্যন্ত দীর্ঘ ১৬, ১৭ বছর ইংরেজি শেখার পরও এর প্রতি দুর্বলতা থেকে যায় অধিকাংশের। বিদেশি ভাষা বলে স্বাভাবিকভাবেই ইংরেজির প্রতি কিছুটা ভয় কাজ করে। তার উপর আবার গদবাঁধা রসকষহীন শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থাও কিছু অংশে দায়ি।

প্রযুক্তির ছোঁয়ায় বদলে গেছে অনেক কিছু। জীবন হয়েছে সহজ থেকে সহজতর। সবকিছু পাওয়া যাচ্ছে হাতের নাগালে। শিক্ষাটা এখন পাঠ্যবই আর শ্রেণীকক্ষের চারদেয়ালে আবদ্ধ নেই। শিক্ষা উপকরণগুলো পাওয়া যাচ্ছে ইন্টারনেটে। বিভিন্ন অনলাইন ক্লাস, টিউটোরিয়াল এবং কোর্সের মাধ্যমে শেখা যাচ্ছে ইংরেজি। তৈরী হয়েছে ইংরেজি শেখার হরেক রকম মোবাইল এপ্লিকেশন। ভোকাবুলারি এপ্স থেকে শুরু করে গ্রামার, রিডিং, স্পিকিং সব ঘরনার এপ্লিকেশনই আছে। তারপরও সব সেকশনের সমন্বয়ে ভালমানের এপ্লিকেশনের ঘাটতি ছিল বহুদিন।

সেই ঘাটতি পূরণ করেছে জনপ্রিয় এন্ড্রয়েড এপ্লিকেশন “Hello English”. ইংরেজি শেখার চারটা কোর পার্টের সুষ্ঠ সমন্বয় ডেভেলপ করা হয়েছে “হ্যালো ইংলিশ”। সমান গুরুত্ব দেয়া হয়েছে Knowing, Evaluating, listening and Presenting সেকশনে। “হ্যালো! হাউ আর ইউ?” দিয়ে শুরু করা হয়েছে প্রথম লেসন। এরপরে থাকছে গ্রামার ও এর সঠিক প্রয়োগ, রাইটিং এবং ইংলিশ স্পিকিং। সাথে থাকছে ১০ হাজার ভোকাবুলারি, ভিডিও লার্নিং, আর্টিকেল রিডিংসহ অনেক কিছু। আর পুরো এপ্সটাকে সাজানো হয়েছে ৮ টি খেলার মাধ্যমে। অর্থাৎ, শিখছেন খেলার মাধ্যমে।

এপ্লিকেশনটির ব্যবহার সম্পর্কে এবার জানা যাকঃ

প্রথমে এপ্সটি ইন্সটল করে আপনার নামে সাইন আপ করে নিন। Language সিলেক্ট করুন বাংলা। এবার ইংরেজিতে আপনার দক্ষতা যাচাইয়ের জন্য MCQ পদ্ধতির একটি টেস্ট নেয়া হবে। ঘাবড়ে যাবেন না। সঠিক উত্তরটি নির্বাচন করবেন শুধু। পরীক্ষার ফলাফল অনুযায়ী আপনাকে পরবর্তি স্তরের লেসন দেওয়া হবে।

প্রতিদিন আপনাকে একটি লেসন বাড়ির কাজ দেওয়া হবে। বাড়ির কাজ শেষে কিছু বোনাস লেসনও দেওয়া হবে। প্রতিটা লেসনের ৩ টা অংশ থাকে। প্রথম অংশে অধ্যয়ন, ২য় অংশে পঠিত বিষয়ের ওপর খেলা। ৩য় অংশে স্পেলিং গেম, লাইভ কথোপকথন অথবা অন্যকোন খেলা থাকে। প্রিতিটি অংশে আছে নির্ধারিত নাম্বার। যথার্থ উত্তর দিয়ে পাওয়া যাবে পুরো নাম্বার। অন্যদের তুলনায় নিজের র‍্যাংকিং এগিয়ে রাখতে নাম্বার গুরুত্বপুর্ণ।

ব্যবহারকারীকে ইংরেজিতে পুরোপুরি দক্ষ করে তোলার জন্য এপ্সটিতে ১৭ টি ধাপে মোট ৪২৫ টি লেসন আছে। প্রতিটি পাঠ সাজানো হয়েছে পর্যায়ক্রমিকভাবে। প্রারম্ভিক আলাপচারিতা, বেসিক গ্রামার, নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় সংলাপ, ইন্টারভিউ, এডভান্সড গ্রামার, স্টান্ডার্ড রাইটিং এবং স্পিকিং দিয়ে। কিছুদিন পর পর তারা এপ্লিকেশন আপডেট করে। তখন যোগ হয় আরো কিছু নতুন অডিও কিংবা ভিডিও লেসন। “সমস্ত লেসন” অপশনের ১৭ টি ধাপের গুরুত্বপুর্ণ বিষয়গুলো হলো, Parts of speech, tense, দৈনন্দিন কথোপকথন, ইমেল লেখা, ইন্টারভিউ দেয়া, বিভিন্ন ইস্যু নিয়ে কথা বলা, রিপোর্ট লেখা, কমন এরর, কনফিউজিং বিষয়গুলো, voice, narration, connector সহ আরো অনেক। এপ্লিকেশনটি এমনভাবে সাজানো হয়েছে যে, একাধারে স্কুলছাত্র থেকে চাকরি প্রত্যাশীদের পর্যন্ত কাজে লাগবে।

প্র্যাকটিস অপশনে গিয়ে কনভারসেশন, আর্টিকেল রিডিং, অডিও লিসেনিং, ভিডিও দেখা এবং গেম প্র্যাকটিস করা যাবে। আর্টিকেল রিডিং আজানা শব্দের উপর ক্লিক করে অর্থ জানা যাবে। এখানে ৩০ নাম্বারের ৩ টি প্রশ্ন থাকে। ভিডিও লেসনও একই রকম।

গেম অপশনে পছন্দ অনুসারে খেলা যাবে, বানান, দ্রুত পঠন, সঠিক উত্তর নির্বাচন, শব্দ প্রতিস্থাপন, সমার্থক শব্দসহ ৭টি খেলা। আরো আছে বই পড়া, অডিও শোনা এবং অন্যের সাথে কথোপকথন।

এপ্সটিতে রয়েছে ১০ হাজার ভোকাবুলারির বিশাল শব্দ ভান্ডার। একে মোবাইলের ডেফল্ট ডিকশনারি হিসেবেও ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে।
